Detection and Control of Flammable Substances in Calgary

This one-day Detection and Control of Flammable Substances course is conducted at both our Calgary campuses and is taught by our Enform-certified CDS instructors.

Our one-day IRP #4 compliant Detection and Control of Flammable Substances course is designed to provide workers in the Oil and Gas Industry with a basic understanding of the characteristics of flammable liquids, gases and vapours and to know how to protect themselves and others from exposure to flammable substances.

Successful candidates will receive an Enform Detection and Control of Flammable Substances certificate, valid for three years.

An Introduction to flammable Substances The Principles of Flammable Gas/Vapour Detection The Care and Preparation of Combustible Monitors Sampling Strategies and Interpreting Monitor Readings Control Methods for High Combustible Gas Readings

Class Times

All CDS classes start at 08:00 am sharp. In order to complete registration in time, candidates should arrive 15 - 20 minutes early.

Candidates will be expected to attend classes from 08:00 sharp until about 17:00, or as needed to finish the curriculum; however, a few breaks will be provided for lunch and refreshments.

CDS reserves the right to cancel any bookings of people who have not prepaid and fail to show up by 08:00am.
